Composting 101

I have written a blog post about compost here, and would like to add a few tips (in a series, inshaallah).

First, we need to shred them into smaller pieces (actually this is applied to all organic material before composting). And then, dried them. I do this because of lack of brown material here, since we know that the best ratio between brown and green material is 4:1. The insufficiency of brown material made my compost soggy and caused an offensive odor.
